STAR Stockton Charter Collective is comprised of seven Stockton Charter school organizations united by a single goal—serving our students. Administrators and faculty across all seven organizations are committed to putting students’ needs first.
Every child, regardless of background or circumstance, deserves an excellent education at a school that fits their unique needs. Charter schools provide families and communities with another choice within the public school system, one that prioritizes teachers’ flexibility to develop dynamic lesson plans tailored to each of their students’ individual needs. As a result, students unlock their potential, better prepare for college, and are readied to face the world beyond.
Yes! All charter schools in California are public schools and are free and open to all.
We know “one-size-fits-all” doesn’t work when it comes to education. Every child learns differently, so our classrooms foster creative, dynamic learning environments that enable educators to prioritize student learning and family engagement.
Our community schools focus on preparing all students for success in college and beyond by combining the key ingredients for every student to have an excellent education: safe school environments, dedicated teachers, rigorous curricula, engaged students, and supportive parents cheering them on every step of the way.
Charter Public Schools strengthen California’s Public School System by offering more kids the opportunity to learn and thrive in an environment where their unique needs are put first, paving the way for their growth and success.
Yes! To apply, fill out the school’s application form, which will include no mention of the student’s IEP. Please note that if a charter school receives more applications than it has space for, the school will hold a blind lottery for all interested students. Once enrolled, schools and families will discuss the student’s IEP.
